Riparian forest in Zambezi valley, Zimbabwe

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Deciduous riparian forest along the Gwase river, near Mashumbi Pools in the Mbire district of northern Zimbabwe, as it appeared around 1989. It was home to an African pitta breeding pair, Livingstone's flycatcher and Thick-billed cuckoo. Green coucal was later recorded in the vicinity.[1] Sometime after 2000 the area was cleared for agriculture, as is the case along many rivers in the area.
