English: A Southern Vectis bus stop flag at Cow Lane, Gurnard, Isle of Wight, situated in Woodvale Road. It is seen sometime in September 2006, although as it is a scanned photograph I cannot be sure of the exact date. When digitalised the metadata was set to 1 September but isn't as accurate as it appears to be. Despite being taken in September 2006, after the Southern Vectis April 2006 network change to services, the stop still shows that services 1 and 33 stop there, when in fact when photographed only route 32 served the stop. The wording on the stop states from the top down: "1 This side of road towards Cowes, 33 This side of road towards Newport, 33 Other side of road towards Cowes, Southern Vectis, Cow Lane".

Route 1 ran from Cowes along Ward Avenue and Crossfield Avenue (via the side roads in the estate), then ran as a loop to Gurnard along Baring Road and Tuttons Hill, then along Worsley Road, down to the bottom of Gurnard village via The Avenue, Tilbury Road, Church Road and Lower Church Road, before going back up to the top of the hill up Solent View Road, then left into Worsley Road and down Shore Road, then right up the hill in Woodvale Road, where this stop was then served. The bus then turned right into Baring Road, then left into Crossfield Avenue and continued back to Cowes the same way as the outward journey. This service had traditionally been numbered 32, but was replaced by the extension of service 1 in 2004, before then being run as separate route 32 again, along the same route, from April 2006. When it ran as a 32, however, it operated from the Cowes Co-op terminus to other areas of Cowes, as well as Gurnard.

Route 33 was a limited service, running an indirect route between Newport and Cowes via Gurnard. From Newport, it ran through Gurnard via Rew Street, Marsh Road, Solent View Road, Worsley Road, Tuttons Hill, Baring Road, Woodvale Road (to serve this stop), Princes Esplanade, Egpyt Esplanade, Egpyt Hill, Baring Road and Ward Avenue to Cowes (and the same reversed in the other direction). This meant that it served this stop towards Cowes in the opposite direction to route 1. There was no actual stop situated on the other side of the road, hence the reliance on one stop displaying what stopped on both sides, a practice which has now been discontinued. The "new" route 32 was replaced with Southern Vectis route 27 in 2007, but this was then withdrawn in 2008. The route is now run by council owned Wightbus, numbered the 32 but actually following the route of service 27. The western half of the 33 was renumbered 30 with the network change, and then became the 28, at that time being diverted away from this stop, and instead running via Crossfield Avenue. It is now run by Wightbus, again as the 30, but following the route of the 28.
