Description

Achaemenid stone tomb at Buzpar (say Boshpar), aka Gur Dokhtar. Although clearly evoking Cyrus's tomb at Pasargadae, this one is smaller. the tomb is built with marble stones sometime hold by metal clamps, on a triple level square base. As from Darius Ist, achemenid kings used to have rock-cut tombs, this tomb is anterior. As we know it isn't Cambyse's, this one probably was belongig to either a royal prince or high ranck nobleman, or was anterior to Cyrus: his granfather Teispes could be the one for some.
