English: Gunwalloe Fishing Cove What appears from here to be a long stretch of sandy beach is in fact a beach of very fine shingle with rounded stones ranging from about 5mm to 25mm in diameter. This was until recently extracted for use locally as pipe bedding material for surrounding drain pipes and for decorative landscaping use but I think this industry has now ceased. |
