Summary
[edit]DescriptionGundelsheim - VT 95 Railbus.jpg |
English: I found a spot in the castle and waited for trains to photograph. The line from Heilbronn to Heidelberg, which passes through Gundelsheim, was not yet electrified.
The VT 95 railbus (Schienenbus) has been called the savior of branch lines in Germany. Almost 1,500 powered cars were built between 1950 and 1971, and about the same number of trailer cars. The top speed was 90 kph (55 mph). There is a barge on the Neckar River in the background. |
