User comments | Gumyeongsa Budai - In 1959 a woman brought her husband, who was suffering ill affects of the war, here where Gumyeongsa is now, and opened a small store to support them.
The husband recovered, but the woman noticed there were many suicides in the area so she set up a small shrine to ease their woes. In 1970 the military built a road here doing away with the shrine. Four soldiers died during construction of the road so a temple was erected here. The four soldiers tablets were enshrined here at Gumyeongsa so as to appease the destruction of the woman's shrine, and protect the rest of the workers building the road.
