Description
English: Phylogenetic distribution of the ability to synthesize vitamin C in birds. Evolutionary lineages capable of vitamin C synthesis are shown in black, those who are not are shown in red. Stem lineages of passeriform bird clade and subclades are represented by grey dotted lines since the ancestral state of these clades cannot be inferred from the data.
Deutsch: Phylogenetische Verteilung der Fähigkeit von Vögeln Vitamin C zu synthetisieren. Entwicklungslinien, die fähig sind Vitamin C zu produzieren, sind schwarz, solche, die dies nicht können, sind rot. Die Stammlinien der Passeriformes und ihrer Subkladen sind als graue gepunktete Linien dargestellt, da über den ursprünglichen Zustand anhand der Daten keine eindeutigen Schlüsse gezogen werden können.
