Description

1st Lt. David Haba of the Guinean army translates for the Marines assigned to 2nd Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, during the preparation for ambush training at the Benti Training Area here, Oct. 10. Approximately 60 Marines are participating in the Western Africa Training Cruise 06. The cruise involves training exercises in three western Africa countries along with embarked NATO military allies from Italy and Spain. Various exercises are also scheduled to take place in Ghana and Senegal to increase interoperability between those involved as well as enhancing security and stability in the region.
