Description
English: Guffey Bridge was constructed in 1897 and spans the Snake River near Melba, Idaho. The bridge was named for J.M. Guffey, an investor in the Boise, Nampa & Owhyee Railroad. The railroad terminated at Murphy, Idaho, and was in operation 1898-1947. The bridge is a contributing resource in the Guffey Butte - Black Butte Archaeological District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
