Summary
[edit]DescriptionGuaruba guarouba - 26 Jun 2011.jpg |
English: I took this pic to show you one of the most beautiful brazilian bird: the " ARARAJUBA".
The golden parakeet is a parrot (order of birds including macaws, parrots and parakeets), which only occurs in northeastern of Brazil. Its name comes from the Tupi language and means "yellow macaw." The very restricted geographic distribution and the lush beauty and target the trafficking of animals, are factors contributing to the decline of populations of ararajuba in nature, which is threatened with extinction.
Português: Essa imagem mostra um pássaro brasileiro em perigo de extinção.A Ararajuba mora no nordeste brasileiro e pertence à família dos papagaios e araras. |
