Sorge a 750 m s.l.m. in Val d'Agri e confina con i comuni di: Corleto Perticara , Gorgoglione (MT), Gallicchio, Armento e Missanello . Santo Patrono di Guardia Perticara è San Niccolò Magno (9 maggio). Fa parte della Comunità Montana Alto Sauro insieme a Corleto Perticara, Abriola, Calvello, Laurenzana, Anzi. Posto in cima a un colle che domina la valle del Sauro, Guardia Perticara è uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia per i suoi caratteristici vicoli, le stradine strette e ripide e le case in pietra arroccate le une sulle altre. |
