English: Master Sgt. David Bush hands sandbags down from a North Dakota National Guard dump truck to Staff Sgt. Travis Winterquist, both of the 119th Civil Engineer Squadron, April 29 as they pass the sandbags down a line of sandbaggers at a rural Cass County residence near West Fargo, N.D. The Airmen are members of a North Dakota National Guard quick response force team (QRF) responding to a request from a rural resident to the Cass County emergency operations center for sandbag assistance to create a flood levee barrier blocking rising overland flood water around the house. As of April 29 there are three Quick Reaction Forces (QRFs) which are available to respond in Cass County, Harwood, Davenport and Kindred. Including support personnel, there are about 170 Guard members currently on flood duty in Fargo and Cass County. |
