| Description | Grwyne Fawr. A walk up Grwyne Fawr to the dam and round the reservoir. On a sunny July day, the river tumbles over the rocks around a mile below the dam. In this rural location, the track just visible on the left used to be a railway, built to assist in the dam construction. In later stages further tracks were laid, two of the former routes being visible, high up on the right-hand side as an almost level scar on the hillside, whilst a diagonal across the hillside shows the course of the link line between the lower and upper levels. |
