Description
English: A U.S. Navy Grumman TBM-3E Avenger of Torpedo Squadron 82 (VT-82) "Devil's Diplomats" landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CV-15), in 1946. VT-82 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 82 (CVG-82) aboard the Randolph for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 22 October to 21 December 1946.
On 15 November, CVG-82 was redesignated CVAG-17, and VT-82 was redesignated Attack Squadron 18A (VA-18A). The squadron was redesignated again on 11 August 1948 to VA-175 until being disestablished on 15 March 1958.
