Summary

[edit]
Description

When the Goose reaches the dock, it retracts the portside starboard pontoon, causing the craft to list to port starboard. Meanwhile, the starboard port pontoon is lowered, and the ground crew hang onto it to keep the plane from moving about too much. The plane also puts out dock lines.

On the far right, you can see a stack of brown boxes next to piles of luggage. Those boxes are all marked "fresh fish," and they're the reason people make the journey out to Duncanby Landing Resort for a week of sportfishing.

I'm entranced by those huge Pratt & Whitney radial engines. It's only a slight exaggeration to describe them as the aeronautical equivalent of steam locomotive engines.
