Summary

[edit]
Description A U.S. Navy Grumman F4F-7 Wildcat photo aircraft on the ground. The F4F-7 was designed as a photo aircraft, distinguishable from other Wildcats by the rounded, one-piece windscreen and prominent fuel jettison tubes below the rudder. Of 100 ordered, only 21 were actually delivered since the requirement was small. However, several flew combat missions at Guadalcanal.
