Description
English: Plaque at the power plant, Samson Mine, Sankt Andreasberg, Braunlage, Lower Saxony, Germany.
Goethe stayed here on his return journey from his trip to the Harz Mountains in the winter of December 12, 1777. He entered the Samson mine and exited via the Gnade Gottes mine. In his diary he noted: "(It) was very sour for me.".
