| Description |
English: Built in 1925, this Mediterranean Revival and Renaissance Revival-style house was built at a time when the surrounding Loring Park area was the neighborhood of choice for the wealthy of Minneapolis. The house features a stucco facade with unadorned window openings, a decorative cornice with dentils and parapet with decorative grilles, a decorative arched surround at the front entrance with decorative pilasters and brackets, decorative ironwork at the windows flanking the front entrance, a front bay window, a section with a third story towards the rear, featuring a hipped roof, and a curved rear facade. The house is presently home to The Dignity Center, run by the adjacent Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, which provides supportive housing to those in need. |
