Summary

[edit]
Description This figure was originaly a gargoyle that most likely jutted directly out the side of a tower in the fortress. (The upper side has a trough carved into it for carrying rainwater away from the walls.) During a subsequent remodel, it was removed. Centuries later, it was found as archeologists examined a pit in the yard of the fortress.
