Description

De Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk, vaak kortweg Laurenskerk genoemd, is een gotische kerk in Rotterdam. Ze is het enige overblijfsel van het middeleeuwse Rotterdamse stadscentrum. De huidige kerk is een kruising tussen een hallenkerk en een kruisbasiliek. In de kerk is in een van de tentoonstellingskapellen nog een knopkapiteel aanwezig van haar voorganger, een tweebeukige hallenkerk zonder koor en toren. Tekst: Wikipedia.
