Summary
[edit]DescriptionGrosvenor Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 829812.jpg |
English: Grosvenor Bridge Grosvenor Bridge carries the railway lines into and out of Victoria Station over the River Thames. It originally consisted of two bridges, each built by a railway company that was a rival of the other, the London, Chatham and Dover Railway and the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. The two original bridges were completed in 1860 and 1866 respectively, rebuilt in 1905, and had a major rebuild between 1963 and 1967. Currently there are 9 railway tracks over the bridge with room for a tenth.
