Description
Français : Le Gros Bourdon Emmanuel n'est pas seulement l'une des célèbres cloches de Notre Dame de Paris, c'est aussi la seule à avoir été épargnée par la Révolution Française, et par conséquent, la plus ancienne.

Mise en place en 1686 (les dates diffèrent d'une source à l'autre), c'est la deuxième plus grosse cloche de France. Le Bourdon pèse au total 13 tonnes, et son battant à lui seul près de 500 kilos. Le diamètre de la base de la cloche est de 2,62 mètres. Son mécanisme électrique a été restauré en 2017, mais avant sa motorisation, elle devait être actionnée par huit hommes.

Le Gros Bourdon Emmanuel fait heureusement parti des nombreux trésors qui auront été épargnés par l'incendie du 15 et 16 avril 2019.
