Animal characteristics: Head-Body Length: 47-55 cm; Weight: 1.4-3.2 kg; Identification: The face, legs, and underparts of the grison are black. The back and tail are a smoky gray color, and the forehead has a white stripe; Habitat: Forests, open lands; Diet: Carnivore: frogs, worms, other small animals; Reproduction: Females give birth to 2-4 offspring in October in an underground den; Social Structure: Very little social behavior has been observed in wild or captive animals; Behavior: This agile animal is good at climbing and swimming; Status: No special status; Interesting Facts: People of South America use grison to flush out chinchillas.
