Summary
[edit]DescriptionGreetings from Darjeeling.jpg |
English: Collotype, Court sized, Undivided back, 12.20 x 8.80 cm
One can only marvel at the early "Greetings from" postcard, the way five photographs are woven into one image with the help of plant motifs, in this case tree branches but often palm trees for Indian images. The little scroll effects on each image add to a three-dimensional effect. The captions offer detailed information for the curious. Even today, every postcard or image sent in a digital platform with a message implicitly is a "Greeting from" one person to another. |
