Description This is a later picture of the Green Tree Tavern in about 1859, located on the northeast corner of Canal & Lake streets. [It] had changed hands many times in that time. In the corner was a saloon. It was then known as the West Lake Street House. In about 1880, it was moved to Nos. 33-37 Milwaukee Ave.
