3 June 2008. This is the side entrance to the Green Church of England Primary School in Somerset Road N17. People routinely leave their waste next to the litter bin. The green plastic bag has been left - quite legitimately - by a street cleaner working for Enterprisem Haringey's waste contractors. It awaits collection. The other stuff left on the pavement shows a problem. People often leave bags or boxes next to a litter bin or a green bag. I guess they think that - as both get collected - it makes this an official pickup point for domestic or other garbage. So they won't need to leave it in their household wheeled bin or recycling box. Actually, it could make a tasty treat for passing dogs, cats, foxes and rats.
