Summary

[edit]
Description Green Ants (Oecophylla sp) are extremely common in Cooktown, Queensland. They make a nest by sticking leaves together and in this case the petals of a hoya flower on our back verandah. They are aggressive but the bite is not very painful though a bunch of them biting isn't fun. Local aboriginal tribes use them as medicine.
