| Description |
English: The light-hearted scene on the lid of this "pyxis," or cosmetic box, is typical of the 4th century BC. One Eros figure holds out a mirror to a seated woman, while another gives patterned shawls to two other women. Elements of a landscape setting, including birds and vines, add to the fantasy of the scene. |
