Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa). This large member of the Daisy family, is fairly common at Noar Hill, but is parasitized by the Knapweed Broomrape (see 1362830), of which three spikes are just visible in the background on the right in this photo. The Broomrape appears to affect the Knapweed's ability to flower, as this is the only flowering example I saw.
