Summary
[edit]DescriptionGreat Hill Scar and scree - geograph.org.uk - 243370.jpg |
English: Great Hill Scar and scree. Near Tennant Gill Farm and the route of the Pennine way (to the left). The limestone scar is facing south and presumably the large amount of scree and steep scar is a result of a freeze thaw process that is more pronounced on slopes that get more sun from facing south than those that do not (thanks to information provided on a Giggleswick School Geography field trip). |
