Summary
[edit]DescriptionGreat Glen Project Station G - geograph.org.uk - 818635.jpg |
English: Great Glen Project Station G This triangulation pillar does not appear on any maps. It was not part of the retriangulation of Great Britain. This is one of around sixteen such pillars thought to exist around the Great Glen, built c1972 for a measurement project. To date, twelve of these pillars have been found. It is thought that another four are out there somewhere. This pillar has OSBM flush bracket number 11868. This photograph overlooks Fort Augustus and the southwest end of Loch Ness from Creag an-larlain on the northwest side of the Great Glen. |
