Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Great Gate, Christ's College, Cambridge. Decorated with the arms of the college: the royal arms of England (three golden lions on a red field, quartered with three golden fleurs-de-lis on a blue field), surrounded by a blue and silver border. The arms are supported by yales, and surrounded by images of golden portcullises (for the house of Beaufort) and red roses (for the house of Tudor). Above is a statue of Lady Margaret Beaufort, the founder of the college, and another rose and portcullis.
