Summary
[edit]DescriptionGreat Court Run days since last wind.jpg |
English: In the time it takes for the Great Court clock in Trinity College Cambridge to strike noon (or midnight) runners try to complete a circuit of Great Court - this is the Great Court Run. This graph shows how the duration of the striking of 12 varies depending on the number of days since the clock was last wound. The biggest effects are the length of the cable on the driving weights, and most importantly whether the driving cable is on the upper or lower layer on the winding drum. |
