English: Gray, Printer. Located in the centre of Strabane, the words 'GRAY, PRINTER' set above an early 19th-century shop front.
Nestling behind a unique Georgian facade, this remarkable property houses two excellent visitor facilities operated by the National Trust and Strabane District Council respectively. The Council facility is open all year round and incorporates a museum and gallery space. Rotating exhibitions along with events, and displays of local arts and crafts combine with the mainstay of museum interpretation (the railways, famous connections and the canal) to bring local history to life. To the rear of the museum, through a beautiful little courtyard garden lies the "Print Roam" and a fascinating collection of 19th century presses. 659168 |
