Description

Grave of Thomas A. Walker, contractor of the Severn Tunnel.

Church of St Stephen and St Tathan, Caerwent, Monmouthshire.

The grave monument is of white marble, now green with moss. A stone pillar is wrapped with a carved chain, originally supporting an anchor, now largely missing. The pillar is mounted on a pile of carved rocks, each carrying attached bronze letters indicating the burial of other family members.
