Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Gray = quartz (SiO2 - silica)

Light pinkish-orangish = K-feldspar (KAlSi3O8 - potassium aluminosilicate)

Graphic granite, also known as runic granite or runite, has an odd but distinctive type of crystalline texture. Graphic granites are typically bimineralic and consist of interpenetrating crystals of quartz and potassium feldspar. The resulting texture somewhat resembles ancient writing (“graphic”). Observed examples resemble Cuneiform, Hebrew, or Arabic writing. These rocks occur in pegmatitic granite intrusions.
