Summary
[edit]DescriptionGrantham Locomotive Depot geograph-2272186-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Thompson Class A2 Pacfic at Grantham Locomotive Depot. View SE in the Depot, which adjoined the Station on the ex-Great Northern East Coast Main Line. This is Class A2/3 No. 517 'Ocean Swell', only six months old. The occasion was one of my earliest Shed Visits and a very early photographic effort on my part. The engine had come down from Heaton Depot in Newcastle, where I had worked briefly in 1944. |
