Description
English: Antisemitic and anti-Hungarian cartoon, published in the Romanian-language Gura Satului newspaper, in Austria-Hungary. Stereotyped Ashkenazi Jews cross over from the Ukraine (Russian Empire) and into Austria-Hungary, marked Verecke ("Veretskyi"), while the Hungarian border guards are sound asleep. Caption: Eată cine şi cum păzeşte graniţa pe unde invadează kazariĭ ("Here are those who guard the border whence the Khazars invade, and such is how they do it").
Deutsch: Antisemitische und anti-ungarischen Karikatur, in rumänischer Sprache in der Gura Satului Zeitung in Österreich-Ungarn veröffentlicht. Typische aschkenasischen Juden überqueren aus der Ukraine (Russisches Reich) und in Österreich-Ungarn, markierte Verecke ("Veretski"), während die ungarischen Grenzsoldaten schlafen.
