[edit]DescriptionGrand Canyon Archaeology Day 2013 Sifting for Artifacts 282 - Flickr - Grand Canyon NPS.jpg |
Kids learn about people who lived at Grand Canyon long ago by participating in hands-on archaeological activities. Those that want to pretend to be modern archaeologists, can participate in the artifact sifting activity. When bits of evidence are found, some may be able to discover what the artifacts are and what they were used for. NPS Photo by Dana Belcher People have lived in the Grand Canyon area for thousands of years, learning to sustain themselves in this challenging environment.
