English: Observatory Museum, 10 Bathurst Street, Grahamstown. This building is unique in stucture and was used by Henry Carter Galpin, watchmaker and jeweller, as a home and business premises soon after his arrival in Grahamstown in 1849. In 1880 Galpin installed a camera obscura in the turret of the building.
