English: Caption text says "Graham McNamee, announcer of station WEAF, gave the running story of the political conventions to listeners throughout the country. The microphone he used was connected to twenty stations scattered from Boston to Kansas City, and his words entered the ether simultaneously from the chain of stations, linked together by land wires."
