Summary
[edit]DescriptionGraffiti artwork at Carrie Blast Furnaces.jpg |
English: This is what remains of the Carrie Blast Furnace near Pittsburg. Now a historical site, it was once a flagship operation for turning ore into iron which would later be made into steel. It opened in 1884 and operated until 1982...during its peak it produced from 1,000 to 1,250 tons of iron daily. Today it is open for industrial tours as well as being a center for metal and graffiti arts.
