Omschrijving: De doodskist staat in een tempel of kerk met zuilen en spitsbogen. Links en rechts ervan staan twee treurende figuren, een van hen houdt een gedoofde fakkel vast. Op de kist liggen de jas, staf en het portret van Jan Scharp. Zijn lichaam wordt door engelen naar de hemel begeleid. Onder de afbeelding een drieregelig onderschrift.
