Description
Deutsch: Der 2,1 x 1,2 m Grabstein im Chor des Klosters zum Heiligen Kreuz in Rostock stellt unter zwei Spitzbögen rechts eine betende Frau und links einen Ritter dar, die Hände auf dem Schwert gestützt, der Schild an die Lende gelehnt. Der Helm steht im Winkel der zusammenlaufenden Spitzbögen. Auf den Ecken der Evangelistensymbole besagt eine Umschrift: „Anno Domini MCCCXCVII feria tertia ante festam beatorum arostulorum Symonis et Judae. Johannes Bassewitz, armiger. Anne […] uxor et Conegundis monacha filia eorum. Orate pro eis!“ (1397 am dritten Tag vor dem Fest der Apostel Simon und Judas. Ritter Johannes Bassewitz mit Ehefrau Anna [v. Züle] und ihrer Tochter, der Nonne Kunigunde. Betet für sie!)
