| Description |
English: Gowerton South railway station (site), Glamorgan Opened in 1866 as Gower Road by the Llanelly Railway, later part of the London & North Western Railway, on the line from Swansea Victoria to Pontardulais. The name was changed to Gowerton South in 1886 and the station closed in 1964. View north west towards Gorseinon and Pontardulais on the original Central Wales line from Swansea to Shrewsbury, also towards the LNWR branch to Penclawdd and Llanmorlais. The modern road beyond the trees bisects the old platforms. |
