English: San Diego, Ca. (June 27, 2005) – The Swedish Navy Type (A 19) Stirling engine-powered attack submarine HMS Gotland arrives in San Diego on a transport ship from Sweden, as it arrives at San Diego, California (CA). The Gotland class is due to its unusual engine capable of being submerged for weeks. Gotland will begin a one-year bilateral training effort with the U.S. Navy’s anti-submarine warfare forces in July. (RELEASED) |
