Summary
[edit]DescriptionGosport's Millennium Time-Space, date marker detail - geograph.org.uk - 542923.jpg |
English: Gosport's Millennium Time-Space: date marker detail The 12 o'clock line of the 542917. There is a tubular structure on the central pole which is built so that the sun shines through it at noon and casts a sunspot on one of these small plaques. There are 14 of them, one for the first of each month and one each for the equinox dates of 21 June and 22 December.
Today's - 1 September - is the middle one of the three to the right; however, unfortunately there was no sun today to provide the desired effect. |
