| Description |
English: Gone in a Morning Locals and tourists watch the smouldering remains of the pier on the day it burnt down to a grotesque mangle of melted iron.
Fortunately nobody was hurt or injured and the main promenade has been left intact thanks to the fire-fighters efforts. I have visited the pier on numerous occasions, having last screamed on the ghost train 3 weeks before this photo was taken. Seeing (or 'not' seeing) the pier for the first time gave me goose bumps. |
