English: The U.S. Marine Corps Force, Pacific Band plays music at a memorial service in remembrance of Logistics Specialist Petty Officer Third Class Brendah T. Downing held at the base chapel aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, March 2, 2016. After a long battle with her illness, she passed away Feb. 23, 2016. Close family, friends and coworkers of Downing were able to attend the service and share their personal reflections of her life. She emigrated from Kenya to get an education here in the United States and she did just that. Graduating from a university with a Bachelors in Arts, but she didn’t stop there.
