Description
English: Goliath beetle, one of the four sculptures in Batocera longhorns & Goliath (1996), by Elizabeth Thomson, mounted on the exterior of Te Manawa, Palmerston North. Polychrome and bronze. Sculpted from specimen in the collection of Te Papa. Commissioned by Manawatu Art Gallery Society in 1996 as part of the Gertrude Raikes (1882–1985) Bequest.
